Are they leaving the nest for the first time? Or are they preparing for another year at university? Whichever one it is, as a parent it can be worrying leaving them in their new home. We understand all your concerns and have a range of measures in place to ensure your child has everything they need to make their university experience safe, enjoyable, and most of all memorable.
Our accommodation facilities are designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment for students to live in. Not only are the buildings equipped with social amenities, but our accommodation team are also on hand throughout the weekdays to assist.
Discover more about us and what we stand for in our short video:
Nice and simple, all bills are included in their rent, so our students won’t incur any hidden costs or go over on usage for water, electricity, and Wi-Fi. We also include contents insurance, so personal belongings are protected too! To see what is covered within the content insurance, please visit here.
Each city has its own Accommodation Team. They are on hand to offer support and help with anything our students may have during their stay. Outside working hours, our out-of-hours service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
We encourage students staying with us to get involved with us straight away. By becoming one of our Social Ambassadors! They could have the opportunity to organise the next social event and be regularly involved with social activities for the building. This is a great way for them to enjoy themselves and boost their CV, we want to provide skills for our students to take away beyond their stay with us.
For any students wanting to live with a friend or partner, we don’t charge any extra for double occupancies! Lots of our rooms are available for double occupancies so contact us today to find out more.
Rooms professionally clean for new tenants, ensuring cleanliness of all our buildings.
We take cleanliness in our buildings very seriously and ensure each room is prepared for new students. We also encourage each student to do their bit in keeping the building clean and to take their rubbish out to our secure rubbish disposal areas.
We understand that life can get busy and cleaning chores are the last thing anyone wants to do, that’s why we say, little and often works best. Don’t let it build up and take things out whenever you pass the bins. We carry out routine checks on each room to ensure standards are being met for the whole building, so they can enjoy student life feeling like they’ve never left the comfort of their own home.
Take a light read of our ‘Top Tips for Students Move In’ blog. We also encourage bringing less, which is also a good excuse to visit home again! This is a great tip for easing them into their new home. Also, most little things you can pick up cheaply from a local store to save some space on the car trip, making your journey safer and less expensive.
Check out their university website for details on semester dates, so you can arrive early to unpack and be organised for the year. We provide every student with one of our welcome packs which includes a city map to help familiarise themselves with the area.
Sometimes figuring out a new city can be difficult if you’ve never been there before. We are on hand to suggest secret gems and common places to go in each city. This is a sure way for you as a parent too, to feel like you know the new city like the back of your hand. This can help students settle in but also give you ideas on where to take them when you visit. Take a read of ‘What to do now you’ve moved in?’ for helpful information.
We look forward to providing your child with an unforgettable university experience.
